Multiple Streams of Income

July 29th, 2014
Comments Off

Making money online is a relatively new way to have an extra income. While there are some great opportunities out there to make money, there are still many people who are concerned whether this is a reliable source of income. While it is true that no one usually guarantees a regular income, you can protect yourself by minimizing the risk. The best way to do it is to have multiple streams of income. This way even when one source of income will no longer be profitable, you will still have many other ways to earn money. There have been a lot of cases where Google banned users from AdSense, and sometimes it was without a valid reason. It would really help if online companies had more respect for online entrepreneurs, and did not ban them without at least warning them once. Until that happens, I suggest focusing on creating multiple streams of income.

What I would like to advise you to do is to find at least one reliable source of income. Once you start making money from this source, start looking for other ways. Even if you do not find any new opportunities, you will still be making money from the first source. Sooner or later, you will find other ways of making money. This way even if your new ways of obtaining money will not work out, you will still have a reliable income from your first source. If you work hard I am sure that you will be able to earn a stable income.

Protect Your Identity

In today’s world identity theft happens very often. There are a lot of thieves that want to steal something very precious to us: our own identity. Identity theft happens also, or even primarily, on the Internet. You cannot imagine how easy it is to commit identity theft with all those smart thieves wanting to steal it. However, you can protect yourself from identity theft at least to some extent.

Before you start protecting every data you send on the Internet, it is important for you to know that thieves might not be interested in everything you have. This is what they are mainly interested in: credit card numbers, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, ATM cards, various credit reports, online passwords, PIN numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, home or business addresses, dates of birth, mortgage information, and phone calling cards. By knowing what details to protect, you can greatly reduce the chance of an identity theft.

One of the most important rules is to not give out your personal details to someone who you cannot trust. Not all companies over the Internet are trustworthy so keep that in mind as well. Makes sure you only provide your credit card details over a secure connection, unless you deal with a company that you can really trust. The same applies to other personal details.

One reason I like music to be part of my life is that it somehow helps me relax and feel better about myself. There were many times in my life when music helped me to go through some difficult moments. I do not know if you feel the same about music as I do, but chances are that you do. If this is the case,
everything that musician’s friend has to offer could be of interest to you. I do not know about you, but I am always on the lookout for some fun things to do and listening or playing music could be it.

Abundance of Free Software

I think that it is quite easy to notice that there are more and more free programs available on the Internet. Free software is often very high quality and very often I refer people to use free software instead of paid commercial software. For example, there are some very reliable firewall software available, so why buy for something which might be lower quality? I think that this trend is a very good sign for an average consumer, because even if you don’t plan to use free programs, other companies will be forced to acknowledge competition. This may result in lower prices for paid commercial software and in the overall quality of programs being higher.

Something that is liquid repellent

Since the summer is already in full swing, I like to spend time outdoors more than I like to do it during any other time of year. There is simply something about being able to have a picnic on a table with a table linen that is liquid repellent. Being able to eat in the garden is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time, something that I cherish very much.

Blog Awards

Some time ago, I heard of a website that allows sending medals to people. I wonder if you will find it as interesting as I did. There are many medals to choose from, some more hilarious like “Irritable Panda Bear”, ”Mid-Air High Five”, or “Icy Cold Beer”. There are also some more serious like “Educational Blogger Award” and “Interesting Blog Award”. There are also some rude ones like a “Dead Cockroach Award”, which I guess are good for a prank, or you could also sent it to somebody who you do not like. Visit this site, and I am sure you will find some hilarious awards, although before you send a “Dead Cockroach Award” to anyone make sure that it is really what you want to do, and make sure that the person you are sending it has a sense of humor.

You can find the medals at www.justsayhi.com/bb/awards. All you have to do is choose an award, input the recipients name, email, URL, and provide your own name, email, and optionally URL, if you are a webmaster. What I like about this site is that it is directed towards bloggers, so if you are a blogger yourself, I am sure you will appreciate it. There are not many sites like this on the Internet.

Interactive Dialogues in Games

Some movies are known to have great dialogues. Just the only problem with movies is that as a viewer you do not have influence over the dialogues in any way. When it comes to computer games, the situation is completely different. The developers of games can allow users to choose what their in-game character will say, but I feel that they do not use this liberty as much as they could. To truly feel like you are your in-game character you need to have influence over the actions of your avatar, and this includes what he will say in specific situations. Games like Neverwinter Nights, or Knights of the Old Republic are examples of games that contain hundreds of pages of dialogues. At the same time, they allow the player to choose what he will respond to non-player characters. This adds a new dimension to games, because you are faced with many choices. On the other hand, movies do not allow you to make any choices. However, I believe that this may change in the near future. Would it not be exciting if there existed interactive movies that would allow you to make some decisions regarding the behavior of the main character in the movie?

Blending Ads

February 22nd, 2014

Maintaining a blog often requires quite a lot of money. That is because a blogger has to pay for domain name registration, hosting, and marketing to name a few. That is why many bloggers decide to monetize their site. One of the simplest forms of monetization is incorporating ads. One of the more popular ads you can incorporate are targeted AdSense ads. Many sites choose to blend the ads with the text of their posts in order to maximize click-through rate. Such a strategy might be a good idea if you want to make a lot of money, but there are also other considerations. If the ads are not attractive to readers then there are some dangers involved as well. First of all, your readers might be getting annoyed by the ads. If that is the case, then he might not be willing to visit your site often. Additionally, some visitors might not like if ads are blended very well, because such ads might fool them into thinking that they are part of your regular content. I think that blending ads might often be a good idea, but you should make sure that such ads are not going to be an inconvenience for your visitors. Overall, you should take into consideration a few things:

-Make sure your website does not contain too many distracting ads, as your visitors might not like it.
-You need to realize that those visitors who click on ads are going to leave your website. That will happen unless the webpage is going to open in a new tab. There is a risk that such visitors might forget about your website and never visit it again.
-Ads should be on the same topic as your blog. There is no excuse for having ads that have nothing to do with the content of your website.
