Getting a Better Job

September 11th, 2012

One of the first things I am usually asked when applying for a job is where I graduated from and what degree I have. Every time I apply for a job, I try to be prepared in advance and have with me all the documents I might be asked for to prove my education. My employers care about my experience, but they care about my education even more to be honest. They always ask about my degree and they wouldn’t mind it if I had a degree in organizational leadership for example. This is why I came to the conclusion already some time ago that the better my education, the better chances of getting a better job.

One of the reasons I would not hesitate to go back to school is the fact that I find it easy to learn new things. I always like to learn new things as they help me to know the world better. Learning new facts also keeps my mind sharp and improves my memory. I like to have good memory because it allows me to remember things others can easily forget. Participating in a program such as this
leadership development program would be good for me as it would not only allow me to learn new things but also new skills as well.

When it comes to going back to school, my only problem might be the lack of time. Having said that, education is important to me and while applying for organizational leadership jobs. I would not mind dropping a few other activities only to be able to go back to school. While I still have some time before I retire, the earlier I decide on continuing education, the better for me and my job as the better job I have a chance of getting.
