World of Warcraft vs. Age of Conan
Age of Conan is a quite popular game these days; however, World of Warcraft is still the most popular massive multiplayer online role-playing game. If we would want to decide which of them is a better game, we should probably look at their combat system as combat is the largest part of such games. First of all, to decide which combat system is better we have to understand what combat system both games have. Age of Conan uses the so-called Real Combat System, which requires you to press direction keys to make combos, while world of Warcraft uses a skill based system, where you click on specific skill with your mouse button. In the end, the difference is that AoC combat is faster paced, while WoW combat requires more strategy, as you have to decide which skills to use in which situations.
Anyway, can we easily decide which combat system is better than? I believe that AoC will appeal more to action oriented gamers, while WoW to more strategically oriented gamers. This is quite a surprising conclusion, as according to my analysis AoC will appeal to younger players, but this game is mainly aimed at adults. As a matter of fact, players need to be 18 years old to play AoC.
