One of my family members used to work in a human resources department in one of our local companies. It was some time ago, but I still can recall some of the things she used to tell us about her workplace and her work. Her job was very challenging and difficult. She and her colleagues at work were managing over one hundred employees. She did not have any computer at that time. All she had where her paper sheets. How much the situation has changed since then. The human resources today face many challenges they did not face in the past. First of all, there is EVerify. This is a voluntary program allowing employers to check whether a person is eligible to be hired in the US. Today, Arizona Everify does an excellent job working together with the Social Security Administration. The whole program is managed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Another thing that changes today very fast is HR Consulting. Companies need professional HR consulting in order to stay informed about the latest changes and trends in human resources. Managing human resources used to be different in the past and it used to be less complicated than it is today.
